What to Do When You Have the Flu During a Move

It’s flu season! Oh, and your move is coming up. Obviously, the virus doesn’t care if you have big plans or things to do. It’s going to wreak havoc on your body either way. Moving is taxing enough on your body without having to battle a whole host of bacteria or viruses. As Indianapolis movers, we’ve helped countless families relocate during these cold, dreary months. We know you’re stressed out and probably worn out, so you’re more susceptible to these bugs. If you are starting to get the sniffles and a little bit of a fever, you may want to check out these tips:

See if you can reschedule

This may or may not be possible, but if you can reschedule, do it. Your body will thank you for the extra rest and relaxation. The slower months should give you a little more wiggle room for scheduling, so it wouldn’t hurt to call up your mover and see if you can postpone it a couple of days.

Ask for help

Don’t be afraid to ask for help from abled body friends and family. Chances are you’re not the only one sick in your household, but you probably have friends and/or family nearby who are able to help. From packing to cleaning out the old house, see if they can take some of the to-do lists off of your plate.
